From ages 12-16, my humble beginnings in film revolved around the art of stop-motion animation and lightsaber fights with friends.

When I first attempted stop-motion, I was struck by the patience it demanded. Every movement, no matter how small, required careful planning and precision. Shooting frame by frame, I learned the value of persistence and how tiny details can make or break a scene. The process taught me to see storytelling in a new way; how the smallest gestures can convey emotion and how visual storytelling is as much about what’s not moving as what is. Stop-motion taught me to embrace imperfection, as every frame was a little piece of artistry stitched together into something bigger. Similar to stop motion, the VFX of the lightsaber demanded that every frame was to be edited. it was a lot of fun to make those films with my friends because we would watch them and feel like we were actually in star wars.
