NITTany TALK

STUDENT RUN SHOW

Nittany Talk is a live, student-run production at Penn State University that I’m proud to be a part of. Similar to Saturday Night Live, it’s a platform for creativity, humor, and collaboration. I co-host the Weekend Update segment with Liv Sweighart, where we deliver jokes about school, world issues, and even take playful digs at each other. It’s an absolute blast every week.

The process is exhilarating. I spend about an hour the night before writing jokes and every Tuesday, we go live at 9:30 PM. Performing live and reading off a teleprompter was a culture shock at first; it was challenging to adapt to the pressure of nailing it in one take. But over time, I’ve grown more comfortable with this aspect of the show. Each episode pushes me to improve and embrace the excitement of live performance.

Nittany Talk has not only sharpened my comedic timing but also taught me resilience and adaptability. The thrill of performing live, combined with the camaraderie of working on this production, makes it an experience I’ll always cherish.

SCRIPT WRITING

FINAL DRAFT 13, Script Developments

Currently, I am developing scripts using Final Draft 13, diving into the world of storytelling with fresh determination. The journey began on the set of Deadlock when I pitched a film idea to director Dustin Fairbanks. After pitching Dustin my idea, he responded, “good concept… why haven’t you started?” His words stuck with me, and about a month and a half later, here I am, fully immersed in the process.

Right now, I’m juggling three scripts but focusing primarily on the one that I’m most passionate about and hope to bring to life in the coming years. This process has been an exciting blend of creativity, discipline, and discovery, and I’m eager to see where these ideas take me.

TORN

HORROR SHORT FILM

IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt34493880/?ref_=ttfc_fc_tt

Torn is an upcoming horror short film starring and produced by Pat Romano Jr., with Andrew Reilly as the co-producer. I met Pat and Andrew while working on the set of Deadlock, and after asking Pat if I could contribute in any way, I was brought on as the key production assistant.

This project, set to shoot in March, is an incredible opportunity to collaborate with a talented team. Pat’s goal is to take Torn to film circuits with hopes of eventually turning it into a feature-length film. I’m thrilled to be part of a project with such ambition and potential, and am eager to contribute to its success.
